STEP 1
After a quick conversation, we can usually tell you how much you can apply for in respect of your new mortgage. Some of the documents you will need to provide are bank statements, proof of deposit, proof of income, ID.
|
STEP 2
When your application has been approved in principle and you have found a suitable property, we will then submit a full mortgage application for approval on your behalf. The lender may request a survey on the new property before a final decision is given, the survey will be arranged for you.
|
STEP 3
When the full decision has been made and the application has been approved, a mortgage offer will be issued to you and your solicitor. Your solicitor should let you know when they are ready to see you but it is always a good idea to give the Solicitor a call at this point.
|
STEP 4
At this stage, you need to ensure your insurances have been reviewed and you have adequate cover in place to protect you and your home. Applications can be made for any cover required.
|
STEP 5
On completion of the legal work the Solicitor will request the mortgage money from the lender and will pay this money together with any deposit you have made, to the seller's Solicitor.
|
STEP 6
You get the keys to your new home! If you are remortgaging, any additional money will be forwarded from your Solicitor to you, by prior arrangement.
